About the House

Marie’s International House is a 5-room guest house with fully furnished bedrooms and shared living facilities. The house is located near East River Road and Franklin Avenue, only 5 minutes walking distance to the U of M East Bank campus and Fairview Hospital. The house is named after Marie Brandt, a long time resident of the Prospect Park neighborhood and the original owner of the guest house. The house was passed to her granddaughter, Rachel Damiani, who owns and manages the property along with her husband, Austin. They still live near the University with their 3 young children.

The name, Marie’s International House, was inspired by the original owner, and her and Rachel’s many stays abroad in Germany, Jamaica, Bangladesh, France, Japan, and Cost Rica.
